I’ve been on the Google Reader bandwagon for a long time. It just makes reading the hundreds of blogs I follow that much easier. Mostly, I end up skimming the entries to see if there is anything interesting I should read further.
The other day I found something that made my Google Reader experience THAT much better.
Did you know that you can rearrange the feed to sort by oldest, rather than the newest postings? THIS HAS CHANGED MY LIFE.
I used to go thru the list and not understand the latest post in my favorite blog because I never read the post before – since it was lower down in my reading, sorted by newest to oldest.
Now that its sorted right, I don’t feel guilty if my reader backs up, because I know that I can always read them in the right order, the oldest one first.
Google Reader settings works for me!
Thanks! I didn't know that - I just started using the reader about a month ago and it's wonderful! =)
ReplyDeleteBtw, where is your husband going to go to law school? My husband is in the Notre Dame law program.
Hey La, hope the tip helps! :)
ReplyDeleteHubs is in the SLU Law program in St. Louis.
How do you change that? I just found about about the NEXT button, and I LOVE it. (That's under Goodies)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment on my blog! :)
When you're in a folder, or in the "all items" view, there's a pull-down menu that says "View Settings" - just sort by oldest and you'll have it all set!
ReplyDeleteI'll have to check out the NEXT button. Haven't used that one yet.
That's good to know. I actually never have used it, but I may give it a try, since lots of people like it :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! I never really thought about it but I may just have to give that a try!
