In the home stretch…

Husband is officially in the final weeks of law school. Well, the first semester anyway!

Unfortunately, we had to make a tough decision last week. Husband and I won’t be spending Thanksgiving together. I know. IT SUCKS! [And not just because we won’t be doing our Black Friday shopping together!]

Because his exams start the Tuesday after the holiday, a trip to Kansas City just wouldn’t allow him enough time to prepare for the exams. And after all this money and time spent on his education [and it’s only the beginning!], I want him to do as well as he can, so I’m removing any distractions to that end!

As so begins the not-seeing-husband for the next few weeks. I’m going to be single again for the time being! :)

  1. Oh no! I know it has gotta be hard to spend the holidays seperated, but at least it's only Thanksgiving. Christmas would be harder I think. Anyway, just eat your sorrows away and then when you come back together...absense will have made your heart grow fonder!

  2. You're so right. I can't imagine being away from him on Christmas. It's really for the best, since he is going to be studying all weekend anyway!

  3. I recall that Thanksgiving Holiday lost its holiday feel as that is when exams start at law school and the "holiday" is code word to start studying really hard right now. It was hard on my hubs, but we got through it and are now enjoying long Thanksgiving trips to the beach each year. Focus on the great thanksgivings to come- after graduation.
