He’s finally home!

Nerja, Spain

I was THIS happy when I saw him at the airport.

I never thought two weeks could go by so slowly.

Husband came home to me tonight from Hong Kong! I have so much more respect for those couples who must spend more time apart due to their work schedules or what have you.

This was a trial run during his study abroad, because I know he’ll have many more business trips when he gets his big fancy lawyer type job in a few years. It was good for me to learn how to be by myself.

But something I’ll do next time he’s gone? Make dates for myself.

Not having anything going on during the evenings because I wanted to rest after the vacation didn’t make me very happy while he was gone. I was so lonely! Luckily a friend, M, whose husband was also on the trip, was able to come over a few times and get me addicted to The Tudors and Lost. Thanks, M!

In any case, he brought me some LOVELY necklaces that I would show you, but they are somewhere in the suitcases at this point in time. I’ll show you when we find them again. :) Needless to say, he did really good!

Now it’s off to snuggle and watch tv before he falls asleep for the next few days. But at least he’s home and sleeping in our bed, instead of one halfway across the world.

He’s home. :)

  1. Yay! I know it's hard to be apart, I would totally work on some big project if my hubs was gone :) That hardest for me would be learning to sleep alone, you get used to someone being next to you!

  2. Isn't homecoming the best?! I felt this way after he finished campaigning. It's an amazing feeling. We used to be LD and it was awful, so now every time we're apart even for a little bit, I revert back to that.

Date nights with the girls definitely help though!
