I sat down a few days ago and continued on the honeymoon scrapbook.
Originally, I told myself that scrapbooking was going to be my big hobby once the wedding had come and gone and was no longer taking up all my time… in 2007.
Here we are, three years later, and we just celebrated our anniversary a few months ago. I had thought I would finish by my first anniversary. Well, not so much.
Here are a bunch more pages in the scrapbook… we’re getting closer!
Page One
“We spent the weekend in the country – so we had to take the train! The countryside was beautiful and the trip so peaceful.”
Page Two
Page Three
Page Four
“Angers, France”
Page Five
“Saumer Castle – Unfortunately, under construction, so we didn’t go inside”
“But what a view!”
Page Six
“The perfect side street…”
Page Seven
“On a side street in Angers, France, we found a little museum with a big secret…”
“A relief sculpture featuring the American founding fathers… and an ancestor of my mother’s mother – Robert Morris! How crazy is that?!”

I think there are around four more pages after this. Almost there!
Looks good! I finished the one for my SIL and got it copied today. I'm going to take pictures and I'll do a blog post about it!
ReplyDeleteSo cute!! My husband and I also honeymooned in Paris. We have one of the photos (atop La Grande Arche) in our living room. I love thinking of how much fun it was! Hopefully we can go back on our 5th or 10th anniversary.
ReplyDeleteDarling! I really need to do ours, too! I have most of the supplies, but am now thinking I want to go with a different style paper. Uh oh!
ReplyDeleteMy wife has been telling been telling me about a scrap book about our first year.
ReplyDeleteI think I am going to surprise her...
Where did you buy this scrapbook?
dont worry! mine is still in the making too ... 2 1/2 years later.
ReplyDeleteYou are so much better then I am! I haven't even started my honeymoon scrapbook. Reminds me I should backup the photos.
ReplyDelete@Dr's Wife - I can't wait to get back. It was just so amazing. Only 140 some odd days now.
ReplyDelete@Brittany - that's why I started with my honeymoon book and not the wedding. I don't know if I like the paper I bought for it!
ReplyDelete@The Kid - I found most of the supplies for the scrapbook at Hobby Lobby and Target. I don't keep track of where most things come from, but some of the paper designs were done with the basic cartridges from the Cricut. But I think the album itself is from Target. It's an 8"x8".
ReplyDelete@Melissa - my husband doesn't think it's very good! Three years in and about to go to Paris again and the book isn't finished. I guess it just took me a while to get into the grove. :)
ReplyDeleteIt looks wonderful! In terms of timescales and progress, your next post asks for a favorite quote. I'm not sure this is my favorite, but it's certainly one of them:
ReplyDelete"Perfect is the opposite of done".
:)
Have a great weekend.
You're almost there! I've bought some stuff to start scrapbooking, but just haven't gotten up the motivation yet. Those things take soooo much time!
